Apple Split and New Loyal3 Buys

Well the Apple 7:1 split has taken place and my 7.0674 shares have today become 49.4718 shares. Apple ended Friday at $645.57 and closed today at $93.70.

I’ve also added to my Loyal3 fund.

Starbucks (SBUX) $25 invested for 0.3338 shares.

This is my first time investing in Starbucks and it’s a company I like very much. Consumers across the world love this brand and I am very much looking forward to adding to my shares.

Wal-Mart (WMT) $10 invested for 0.1302 shares.

I’m slowly adding to my WMT shares. Now up to 1.2159 shares.

Disney (DIS) $10 invested for 0.1182 shares.

Another company I love and can see being a big part of my future. I am up to 1.5666 shares in total.

I noticed the split today as well. I keep track of my portfolio using a spread sheet in Google drive, which is nice because it can display real time prices. But at first I was like, why did my stock portfolio lose $2K today? And then I remembered Apple’s stock split lol. Phew. So I manually changed my # of shares from 3 to 21.

Those other companies you added to your fund are great picks ๐Ÿ˜€ I bought SBUX and DIS last year and both have not disappointed me so far :) We can expect Disney shares to go even higher in the next few years as more Marvel/Pixar/Star Wars movies are released ๐Ÿ˜‰ Yay!

Hi Liquid, I use Google Drive as well which is an excellent tool to monitor one’s portfolio.

Really looking forward to those Star Wars movies. I was born the year the first one came out so my childhood had a lot of Star Wars toys.

    Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks for sharing your recent purchases. SBUX is a great company but I feel the share price has jumped way ahead of its earnings. It has a wild PE and I’m not sure if future growth can justify that sky high valuation. Interesting selection with WMT too. June has been the month of TGT as almost every dividend blogger I have read added shares or initiated a position in TGT.

Hi DivHut, I’ve been looking at Target as well. My wife has a nice number of TGT shares. With SBUX and WMT I feel I can be happy that they will be a long term player for me. My goal is also to build up to 100 shares so I can do covered calls. Thanks for stopping by!
